1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
Harbinger Bros. LLC is committed to ensuring that harbingerpost.com is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that access to independent journalism is a fundamental right, and we work continuously to ensure that our digital publication meets or exceeds accessibility standards.
2. Applicable Standards
We aim to conform to the following accessibility standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — For US users, we are committed to making our Website accessible in accordance with Title III of the ADA and applicable case law regarding website accessibility.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — We apply Section 508 standards for electronic and information technology accessibility.
- European Accessibility Act (EAA) — Directive (EU) 2019/882 — Harbinger Post does not specifically direct its services at the EU/EEA market (see the Intended Audience section of our Terms and Conditions) and does not consider itself a covered entity under the European Accessibility Act on that basis. Nonetheless, as a matter of policy, and because our audience includes readers from around the world, we aim to align our accessibility practices with the EAA’s requirements alongside the other standards listed here.
3. Accessibility Features
Since July 2026, we also provide an interactive accessibility toolbar: a floating icon in the bottom-left corner of every page opens a panel where you can adjust text size in four steps, switch to a high-contrast display mode, underline all links, reduce animations and motion, and increase line and letter spacing for easier reading. Your selections are stored only in your own browser (never on our servers) and are applied automatically on return visits; a "Reset" button restores the defaults at any time.
harbingerpost.com incorporates the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML5 markup to support screen readers and assistive technologies
- Descriptive alt text for images where relevant to content
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios between text and backgrounds, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
- Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements
- Resizable text without loss of content or functionality
- Consistent and logical page structure with appropriate heading hierarchies
- Descriptive link text that identifies the purpose of links
- Focus indicators for keyboard navigation
4. Known Limitations
We acknowledge that some areas of the Website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known current limitations include:
- Some older archived articles may contain images without adequate alt text descriptions
- Certain complex data tables in analytical articles may not be fully optimised for screen reader navigation
- Embedded third-party content (where present) may not meet our accessibility standards
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve the accessibility of the entire Website.
5. Assistive Technology Compatibility
harbingerpost.com has been tested for compatibility with the following assistive technologies:

7. EU-Based Readers
Although, for the reasons explained in Section 2 above, we do not consider Harbinger Post to be a covered entity under the European Accessibility Act, EU-based readers who are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint may, as a courtesy, contact the national enforcement body responsible for monitoring compliance with the European Accessibility Act in their country of residence.
