Healthcare Students Get Upfront Help With Placement Costs
From the 2026/27 academic year, eligible healthcare students in England will receive advance payments for placement travel and accommodation costs, removing the need to fund expenses out of pocket before reimbursement. The measure is intended to ease cost-of-living pressures and widen access to rural and coastal placements where costs can be highest.
